Urban Spasms                                                  Urban Spasms - Photos

“Urban Spasms” is born from the necessity of studying and thinking over the insane conditions in which the urban man lives, over the effects and deformities on the visible and emotional body, over the revenge of this body against its executioners: man itself and its distorted body. The play focuses a group of anonymous people who exposes urban population characteristics, setting movements on the stage that evoke a metropolis dynamic life and reveal the absurd of a life centered on city’s movement.

The hallucinatory rhythm, lack of contact among people, fear, solitude and, at the same time, anthropophagic will of feeling the other, violence, passions and guiltiest. This is the everyday life presented in 7 scenes involving all cast and aiming to make the presentation into a sensorial experience, more than trying to narrate a story.

60 minutes. 7 players
